Nigerian film history workshop

The deadline for our Nigerian film history workshop has been extended to May 31st!

We have received several incredible applications so far, but we are particularly on the lookout for emerging artists with a visual arts background in film, photography, or writing, who are also interested in learning more about Nigeria’s film history and archives.

The post-Memory, post-Archive project engages in a process of memorialisation and contextualisation of Nigerian cinema from the 1960s to the 1980s within the broader framework of Nigeria’s postcolonial history. It is a platform for active discovery, tracing the evolution of film production, aesthetic choices, and narrative influences over six decades of Nigerian cinema.

Interested applicants should send a statement of interest to Ese.Emmauel.extern@goethe.de or oluwadara.omotoso@goethe.de.
