Description
The African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) returns in 2026, moving from Johannesburg for the first time in its history to Nairobi, Kenya. To ensure we present the most interesting, urgent work and journalists on the continent, we invite you to suggest speakers, panels, themes or training that would elevate the conference this year.
Do you have something that needs to be shared with your colleagues? Do you have a topic, or some particular training that you think would enhance the conference? Do you have an idea for a discussion that belongs on the programme?
Help shape the conference by submitting proposals by 5 April 2026.
AIJC is the continent’s leading gathering of working journalists and showcase of the African continent’s best investigative reporting. For 21 years, it has presented an opportunity to share inspiring stories, network with the best investigative reporters, hear about interesting work being done and catch up with cutting-edge tools and developments.
The 22nd conference will take place at Aga Khan Graduate School of Media and Communications in Nairobi, Kenya from Wednesday 10 November to Friday 12 November 2026.
