The Filmjoint is a platform focused on promoting and marketing quality short films from different parts of the world, thereby giving short film makers the opportunity to make returns from their films and eradicating the lingering ideology that there is no market for short films.
The Filmjoint holds The Filmjoint Premieres and The Filmjoint Awards (TFA) annually; The Premieres gives filmmakers the opportunity to premiere their short films to a live audience in a grand style, with panel sessions for cast and crew members. These short films are selected and critically judged by senior industry professionals, thereafter distributed to interested VOD platforms.
The Awards on the other hand is an annual merit award, that recognizes the excellence in cinematic short films around the world and promote the value that short films bring to cinema. Achieving this award involves multiple stages and include both a hybrid voting and decisions from our esteemed panel of Judges.

Submitting your short film to The Filmjoint Premieres automatically gives you access to our distribution opportunities – especially if your film is nominated or selected as one of the top 10 finalists. Our goal is to help filmmakers earn returns on their work, while also ensuring their films are seen, celebrated, and valued.
The FilmJoint Award (TFA)
The FilmJoint Awards (TFA) is an Annual Merit Award presented by FilmJoint to recognize the excellence in cinematic short films around the world and promote the value that short films bring to cinema. Achieving this award involves multiple stages of selection, including hybrid voting and decisions made by an esteemed panel of judges. The awards aim to set a distinct standard where films receiving accolades are undeniably outstanding.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Short films that are yet to be released or screened on any platform
2. Short films must be between 5mins to 30mins with complete screen credits.
3. Short films must have adequate English subtitles if released in a language other than English.
4. Resolution – 1080p, Aspect Ratio – 16:9, Codec – H264, Audio Channel – Stereo, Sample Rate – 48khz
5. All Music/Sounds used must be original or copyright-free.
NOTE: Short Films that are selected would have to be resubmitted in DCP format;
