Publishing Interns (Female)

Ouida Books is hiring four women for a 18-month internship. This is not a soft internship. It is full immersion into publishing, editing, manuscripts, book design, deadlines, authors, marketing, sales, festival curation and the literary community.

They want graduates who love books, read seriously, write well, notice everything, work hard, think fast, can negotiate, work independently, work in a team, can travel, can learn, can laugh at themselves and done with NYSC.

You will learn developmental editing, copy-editing, publishing workflows, buying/selling rights, book production, marketing, distribution, festival curation, author management, author tours, and community management.
