Initiated by the Women in the Arts Collective and led by filmmaker Biodun Stephen alongside Brenda Fashugba, the initiative debuted in August 2025 at the Nigerian Film & TV Summit (NIFS). Its mission is to equip women with the skills, mentorship, funding, and distribution support they need to shape their own narratives and challenge limiting stereotypes in the industry.

What F.R.A.M.E. Provides:

  • Mentorship & Training: Professional guidance and educational programs to help women filmmakers strengthen their craft and step into leadership roles.

  • Funding & Distribution: Access to financing opportunities and industry channels that ensure women-led projects reach audiences.

  • Networking: Platforms that connect participants with industry leaders, collaborators, and peers.

  • Storytelling Empowerment: A focus on elevating women’s voices through authentic, diverse stories that reflect the realities of women’s lives.
