About the Festival
The Lagos International Theatre Festival is a celebration of performance, storytelling, and the power of live theatre to provoke, entertain, and inspire. Now in its latest edition, LITF 2025 invites theatre practitioners from Nigeria and around the world to present bold new work or reimagine the classics in exciting, innovative ways.
Who Can Apply
We welcome:
- Playwrights
- Directors
- Theatre companies
- Solo performers
- Interdisciplinary artists blending theatre with dance, music, visual art, and multimedia
Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply. We are looking for:
- Original stage plays
- Adaptations or reinterpretations of classics
- Site-specific performances
- Multilingual and cross-cultural productions
- Works that engage with contemporary social issues
