EAccelerate Fund 2025

Eligibility

• Both Director and Producer must be East African.
• East African countries include: Burundi, DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Comoros, Mauritius, and Madagascar.
• At least 80% of the footage must be shot in East Africa.
• Must have a Director and Producer already attached.
• Final film must be no longer than 20 minutes in duration.
• Must be able to deliver a complete short film by December 1st, 2025.
• Should be open to having the film screened regionally or internationally.

Are you an East African filmmaker ready to bring your story to life on screen? The EAccelerate Fund 2025 is now open for applications! Following the success of our first cycle — where four teams completed short films that premiered at Berlinale 2025 — this second phase focuses on granting support and regional screenings for a new cohort of filmmakers. This is your opportunity to develop a short film from concept to completion with the backing of an experienced team and regional visibility. Deadline: 18th July 2025
