Whether it’s supporting World Bank–funded programs, designing competency-based training models, or leading digital development initiatives, Seismic combines rigorous research, strategic advisory, and practical implementation to translate complex challenges into enduring change.
We are seeking a Senior Researcher to lead end-to-end research and evaluation efforts, with extensive experience in technical and financial proposal development, World Bank and donor-funded projects, and public-sector programming. In this role, you will manage complex research initiatives, mentor junior staff, and translate data into strategic insights that inform policy and programme design.
The ideal candidate would be expected to;
o Lead the conceptualization, methodology design, and execution of large-scale research for World Bank and other development agencies.
o Oversee qualitative and quantitative data collection, ensuring methodological rigor and ethical compliance.
o Write compelling technical and financial proposals for international tenders, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and Seismic’s strategic priorities.
o Cultivate relationships with government ministries, international donors, and private-sector partners to facilitate data access and buy-in.
o Represent Seismic at high-level stakeholder consultations and workshops.
o Synthesize findings into evidence-based reports, policy briefs, and presentations tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Provide strategic recommendations that inform program design and decision-making.
Requirements
- Education:
Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related field.
- Experience:
o Minimum 7 years leading research and evaluations for World
o Proven expertise in public sector programming, policy analysis, and capacity-building initiatives.
Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods; statistical software (e.g., STATA, R) and data- visualization tools.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to senior government officials and donors.
o Strong project management capabilities, including budget oversight and adherence to tight deadlines
