Be a part of A Father’s Promise Short Film by African Movie Festival in Manitoba.

We are seeking 3 roles:

JIMI: Male, 27 – 30 years old; African, Fit. A devoted father struggling to provide for his daughter after losing

his job. Haunted by past dreams and present hardship, he clings to hope and love.

ARA: Female, 6 – 8 years old of African; skating ability is a plus but not required. Jimi’s 6-8-year-old daughter. Wise beyond her years, she becomes his emotional anchor and source of strength.

STACY: Female, 30 – 40 years old; open to all ethnicities. The stern apartment manager. She represents the pressure of the outside world closing in.

SHOOT DATES:

July 30 – August 3 (2 days commitment required)

LOCATION: Winnipeg

This is a non-paying project. Actors who work with us will receive a copy for their demo reel. We will be providing meals during shoot.
