Job Title: Social Media Intern

Location: Lagos

Job Description:

We are looking for a Social Media Intern to join our growing team. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites.

This position is primarily an opportunity to learn and grow career-wise and there will be a monthly stipend.

Responsibilities:

Grow the online social networks by increasing fan base and interactions

Write and schedule social media posts

Respond to posts and comments to bring value to user’s interaction and post to social networks in a manner that invites conversation and interaction.

To work with the company’s graphics designer to ensure that images and videos are received promptly which will allow for their seamless transfer on to social media once they have been vetted by the Head of Communications.

Handle all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company to ensure a positive customer service experience.

Utilize analytics and reporting tools to assess trends and activities

Organizes and archives digital images and videos

Completes other digital media projects and research projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Familiarity with social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Prior experience with marketing or social media management

Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo editing and internet browsers

Familiarity with social media analytics such as Facebook insights to assess trends and Twitter analytics and keyword analysis

Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration

Openness to learn, willingness to try anything, strong communication/writing skills and out of the box thinking to promote product in a unique and creative way

A personal laptop

Must live in Lagos, Nigeria

Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy.

Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
