Nigerian writer, playwright, and filmmaker, Biyi Bandele passes away at 54.

On Sunday, August 7 in Lagos, 54-year-old Nigerian author, dramatist, and director Biyi Bandele passed tragically abruptly. Bandele was a prominent figure in the Nigerian film business and the director of the Half of a Yellow Sun adaption by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and the upcoming Elsin Oba: The King’s Horseman adaptation of Death and the King’s Horseman by Wole Soyinka.
