CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI): DESIGN & DELIVERY OF CAPACITY BUILDING SERVICES FOR THE CREATIVE AFRICA NEXUS (CANEX) PROGRAMME

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), a pan-African multilateral financial institution headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, was established to support and promote intra- and extra-African trade through financing solutions and advisory services. Under its current strategic plan, IMPACT 2026 – Plan VI, the Bank has prioritized advancing intra-African trade, accelerating AfCFTA implementation, and driving industrialisation and export development.

The creative economy has become a vital contributor to Africa’s and the Caribbean’s economic growth, job creation, entrepreneurship, and trade. Despite abundant talent and cultural assets, creative entrepreneurs face persistent challenges, including limited access to business training, financial literacy, digital marketing expertise, and global market opportunities. To address these gaps, Afreximbank launched the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) — a flagship initiative dedicated to harnessing Africa’s creative potential.

One of CANEX’s core pillars is capacity building, equipping creative professionals with the tools to establish and grow sustainable enterprises. To scale this impact, Afreximbank is developing the digital CANEX Capacity Building Programme via the CANEX.AFRICA platform, offering creatives across Africa and the diaspora access to structured, high-quality business education and resources.

Scope of Work

Afreximbank invites qualified consultants, training institutions, organisations, or consortiums with proven expertise in capacity building, digital learning, and creative industry development to express interest in designing and implementing the CANEX Capacity Building Programme. Responsibilities will include:

  • Curriculum design and development.

  • Production of digital training content.

  • Delivery of mentorship and coaching.

  • Integration of learning modules into the CANEX.AFRICA platform.
