The Naija Writers Community (NWC) and the Forum for Women in Film & Television (FWIFT) are selecting 30 female screenwriters for an intensive program in Lagos this March to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Program Details

• Dates: March 2–8, 2026

• Location: Lagos, Nigeria (CcHub Lekki & British Council Ikoyi)

• Cost: 100% free to attend (by selection only)

What is She Writes Masterclass?

It is a “one-week, intensive, hands-on capacity-building program for women screenwriters and storytellers developing projects for film and television.”

The structure includes:

• March 2–7 (CcHub, Lekki): Training and project development focusing on story structure, character development, loglines, world-building, and pitching.

• March 8 (British Council, Ikoyi): A high-stakes day featuring a “Pitch Session + Industry Panel + Certification + Networking Cocktail.”
