The drama should be original, simple, and uniquely Kenyan; deeply rooted in the country’s cultural and societal realities. It should explore universal themes of love, betrayal, and family, woven together in a way that feels authentically local yet resonates with a mass audience. The language should be Kenyan Swahili.

Maisha Magic is inviting Kenyan creatives to submit ideas for an original drama series that captures authentic Kenyan stories. The series should explore themes such as love, betrayal, and family, told in Kenyan Swahili. Writers and producers can review submission guidelines and submit their proposals via Maisha Magic Submissions. The deadline for submissions is 6th March 2026. This is a chance to bring a truly Kenyan story to life on a major platform.
