Sewing Instructor

Role Summary:

GMYT is looking for a detail-oriented Sewing Instructor who lives and breathes garment construction. This role is strictly hands-on, focusing on turning designs into physical reality with technical precision and professional finishing.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Teach fundamental and advanced sewing techniques on both industrial and domestic machines.

• Instruct students in pattern drafting, draping, and garment assembly.

• Demonstrate specialized techniques for different fabric types (e.g., Aso Oke, lace, stretch fabrics).

• Enforce high-quality standards for garment finishing and “the perfect fit.”

• Requirements:

• Proven experience as a professional tailor or garment constructor.

• Deep technical knowledge of pattern making and industrial sewing machinery.

• Patience and the ability to simplify complex technical steps for learners.
