1. Video Editor

The Guardian is seeking a creative Video Editor to join a dynamic newsroom environment, focusing on impactful storytelling and high-quality social media content.

• Location: Lagos, Nigeria

• Job Type: Full-Time

• Field: Media / Broadcasting / Content Creation

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Final Cut Pro.

• Storytelling: Ability to use creative storytelling skills to craft engaging video content.

• Audio & Pacing: High proficiency in audio editing and maintaining an effective pace for news and social content.

• Social Trends: A solid understanding of current social media trends and how to optimize video for various platforms.

• Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and the internal production team.

2. Presenter / Producer

This role is designed for a versatile media professional who can handle both the front-facing and behind-the-scenes aspects of content production.

• Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in media, broadcasting, or content production.

• Technical Hybrid: Must have technical proficiency in audio/video editing alongside on-camera presence.
